Best Pattern Weights!
I love these glass pattern weights! They’re wide, thick, sturdy, and actually heavy enough to hold down pattern paper that just wants to curl up on you. Unlike the tiny ones I’ve seen in stores that are basically the size of a quarter, these have some real weight and substance to them. They’re about an inch thick, which makes them easy to pick up - no awkward pinching or sliding like you get with washers. Plus, they’re clear, so you can still see your markings underneath, and somehow they manage to survive being dropped (this has accidentally been tested 😱). I just think they’re so much nicer and more practical than the little beanbag ones.
Tiny Can, Big Help
I didn’t think a mini trash can could bring me so much joy—but this one absolutely does. It’s only 1.5 liters and fits perfectly on my sewing table without taking up precious space. The swing-top lid is my favorite feature: it’s always “open” enough to toss in thread bits, fabric trimmings, or broken needle pieces, but it still keeps everything contained and tidy.
It’s made of metal, so nothing clings to the sides, and it holds way more than you'd think. I haven’t had to empty it once yet—and it’s kept my sewing space so much cleaner. If you’re constantly brushing off fuzz and scraps, this little bin is a game-changer.
My Favorite Iron!
After going through 3 frustrating irons that stained fabric or didn’t get hot enough, I finally found one made specifically for sewing - the SINGER SteamCraft Plus. It heats evenly, steams properly, and doesn’t leave build-up or water spots behind. The long-precision tip is perfect for creasing small seams or working in tight spaces, and the 30-minute auto-shutoff is perfect for longer projects. Bonus: it comes in four colors (mine’s mint!) and actually works great with regular tap water. This iron solved every problem I had with others - and it’s 100% worth the investment!
Never Lose Needles!
The Needle Nest Magnetic Case is my go-to for keeping sewing machine needles organized and ready to use. When I switch needles mid-project, I simply flip the one in use upside down so I know it’s been used before.
